Robbers Caught with Pants Down Aug 2, 8:55 am ET ATHENS (Reuters) - Two Greek bank robbers were in jail on Friday after literally being caught with their pants down. Police said the two were part of a gang of four who robbed a bank teller of 300,000 euros ($296,100) in the village of Tymbaki on the island of Crete on Thursday. Villagers alerted police when they saw the four donning ski masks for the robbery. The driver of the getaway car and another man were caught several miles from the scene. The other two were arrested in a nearby building with their pants down as they changed into swimming trunks in a bid to portray themselves as innocent tourists. "They were caught with their pants down," a police spokesman told reporters. |
